The Florida Birds series was born out of curiosity to explore and better understand the amazing birds and vibrant wildlife in Florida. Through each illustration there is an invitation to open our eyes and hearts to appreciate the life that surrounds us.
There is a profound grounding effect that comes when we observe and connect with nature. We become aware of our surroundings, and this creates a shift on the way we interact with our environment and what we do to preserve it. Each of these birds can be found in their natural habitats from the Everglades, rivers, the Grove, at the beach or intermingling in ponds in the more urbanized areas.
